Access
When people see the blue “H” symbol, they feel comforted knowing care is within reach. We advocate for policies that make sure all Hoosiers have access to quality care 24/7, wherever they need it.
Affordability
Every Hoosier deserves access to quality health care at a reasonable price. Our member hospitals are fully committed to making health care more affordable and continue to implement new models to reduce the cost of care. We also advocate for policies that ensure those savings are passed along to all who seek care.
Financial Sustainability
Indiana hospitals face significant financial challenges, from the effects of inflation to government programs like Medicare and Medicaid paying far below the cost of care. IHA advocates for sustainable government reimbursement, allowing hospitals to continue serving the critical needs of their communities.
Workforce
Indiana has a significant shortage of health care workers, making it difficult to keep up with growing demands. We advocate for policies to support Indiana’s health care workforce and partner with educational institutions to expand the pipeline of future workers so that hospitals can provide the highest level of care.
