In 2023, the Indiana General Assembly expanded the ability of mental health providers to offer involuntary treatment to patients in crisis. This year, the Indiana General Assembly further revised the new process and the Office of Court Services updated the state-approved Application for Emergency Detention. This presentation will describe the current process – as revised – and the additional support offered to mental health providers.
