IHA Announces AblePay as an Endorsed Business Partner to Reduce Costs for Indiana Hospitals and Their Patients

As out-of-pocket medical expenses continue to rise, the Indiana Hospital Association has partnered with AblePay, a unique patient financial engagement platform, to improve patient access and help hospitals and patients reduce costs.

AblePay assists health care providers in reducing their collection costs while lowering out-of-pocket medical expenses for consumers. The business model works to bridge the gap between providers and health care consumers, strengthening the relationship and creating a better patient experience.

“With this partnership, IHA reinforces its commitment to improving health care affordability and access in a collaborative manner,” said IHA President Brian Tabor.

The AblePay platform removes IHA member hospitals from the collection process, providing easy implementation and prompt payment, while offering patients with savings and flexible payment options on each medical bill without any fees or interest charges.

"We are excited to be part of the endorsed partner program with the Indiana Hospital Association,” said John Fistner, Founder and CEO. "Healthcare affordability is not a new topic, but the situation worsens as a significant percentage of the cost of care falls on the patient. This shift in the financial burden is changing patient payment behavior and leading to the avoidance of care. This negatively impacts revenue for health systems and care providers while diminishing the overall patient experience. Our solution lowers the cost of health care, improves the patient experience, while giving patient the protection they need to seek care. We already have a presence in Indiana and working with the IHA will allow us the opportunity to help more of their members and their patients.”
