Indiana Hospital Association Partners with Dexur to Improve Quality Care for Hoosier Patients
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — (May 8, 2023) As technology continues to advance, the Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) and Dexur have announced a partnership aimed at improving the quality of health care services provided to patients by hospitals throughout Indiana.
Dexur is a health care research and analytics firm specializing in improving quality outcomes through predictions. With Dexur's expertise in health care research and analytics and IHA's commitment to quality and patient safety, the partnership aims to provide hospitals with predictions on CMS quality programs 12 to 36 months in advance.
“IHA is excited to partner with an organization that has a combination of data access, AI expertise, and software advantage to enhance health care services in Indiana,” said Brian Tabor, IHA president. “This partnership aligns with our mission of providing better care to patients by connecting hospitals with the resources they need to improve the quality of care they provide.”
Dexur also provides AI Medical Coding Auditing software that highlights medical codes that may account for quality risk factors. These quality outcome measures act as indicators of patient care and are utilized for comparing health care providers, informing payment structures, and directing quality of enhancement initiatives. When medical coding inaccuracies arise, the data used to compute these measures may be distorted or misrepresented, leading to a flawed depiction of a hospital’s performance.
"We’re pleased to partner with IHA to offer our unique combination of data, algorithms, and software expertise to drive positive change in health care outcomes for Hoosier patients," said Nik Rao, CEO of Dexur.
