Indiana Hospital Association Welcomes Terry Cole as Vice President of Finance
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) is pleased to announce the addition of Terry Cole as vice president of finance. Bringing more than 30 years of experience in the health care field, Cole will serve as IHA’s primary liaison with federal and state agencies and other third-party payers on reimbursement issues. She will also manage the association’s fiscal matters involving data collection and analysis.
“We are very pleased to have Terry join our team, bringing decades of experience as a well-respected health finance professional,” said Doug Leonard, president of IHA. “Terry will be a critical asset to the association and our member hospitals across the state."
Prior to joining IHA, Cole served as Chief Financial Officer of MDwise. In this capacity, she was responsible for overseeing the budget and accounting systems for MDwise and its four entities including MDwise, Inc., MDwise Marketplace, Inc., MDwise Network, Inc. and MDwise Medicaid Network, Inc. In addition, Cole was responsible for ensuring compliance to the state’s requirements for financial performance and reporting.
Prior to her experience at MDwise, Cole spent 11 years in public accounting serving as a financial auditor and health care consultant.
Her veteran health care experience also includes positions as Director of Government Reimbursement programs at both Ascension Health and Clarian Health Partners (Indiana University Health), and Senior Manager at Blue & Co.
Cole received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
